Social Responsibility means keeping an eye on our surroundings and standing up to what is right and forbidding what is wrong!

Recently I was shopping at Target Store nearby and was approached by a woman who asked me to fill out a Target Credit Application. While we were talking she asked me what I did for a living and I told her that I am now concentrating on doing my Say No and Go Program full time. To my surprise she told me that she could use my help and told me that her son was hooked on crack cocaine. I told her that my program is designed for the prevention aspect rather than after the fact of people who are already hooked on drugs.

I felt so bad that I did not respond in a more appropriate way. After she left and went on with her job I decided to write down my information about this website as well as my personal information and tried to find her in the store. Unfortunately, I was unable to find her so I gave my information to the cashier to give to her and hoped that she would call me or contact me via my website.

In the last week I have been thinking about her situation. I thought to myself that it must have been so hard for this lady to open up to a complete stranger and inform me that her son was hooked on crack Cocaine. I have been thinking about a lot of things over the past week and felt that I should take some responsibility regarding this situation. There are so many people in the world today who get hooked on drugs and alcohol every moment of each day and I ask myself why?

Is it because of the stress the society puts on people to the point that they want to fit in? Is it because of the peer pressure of society who makes things like this seem normal in life? Or is it because the people are so depressed that they are taught by societies throughout the world that doing drugs and drinking alcohol is one of the many ways of forgetting about everything? Are they not able to talk to anyone because societies throughout the world do not open up and take Social Responsibility by opening up their hearts, minds and souls to people in need?

We are so sorry that we have failed all of you who have not had a way to cope with the problems of society today. We want all of you to know that we are here for you and that we are willing to help in any way shape or form. The Say No and Go Society will be there for people and we will try our best to help by doing the following things which will only be the start of changing societies throughout the world.

First we must realize what our societies have been doing wrong. Ask yourself how many years ago was it when you could go to a grocery store where there was no alcohol sold? It used to be only sold in Liquor stores and there used to be strict laws about selling alcohol or even getting a license to sell alcohol. Even today you can not even go into a Target Store without finding alcohol and this is a total shame. I am only using this as an example because after all I was in the Target that day when I came across this lady working there who opened up to me about her poor son who needs help.

I remember the days when the Religious organizations used to fight for removing alcohol in stores like these. My own grandfather was a Methodist Minister and if he were alive today he would go up to the store owner or manager and let them know that due to the fact that their store sells alcohol he will no longer purchase anything from them again. I guess this was due to a traumatic impact he had in his life when he had to perform his first funeral as a minister. His first funeral was for an entire family of five which included the wife and all four children who were all killed by their alcoholic father who shot each of them with a shotgun while being complete drunk.

After thinking about this I tried to find a store which did not sell alcohol and to my surprise we only found Walgreen's and a local Oriental Market which does not sell alcohol but even the Walgreen's sells Cigarettes which are harmful to everyone in society. Where do we draw the line and when are we all going to stand up and fight for what is right and forbid what is wrong. It makes us sick that you can not even find a gas station these days who do not sell cigarettes and alcohol. This makes no sense at all because what is wrong with this picture? Gasoline and a lit cigarette do not mix well do they? Alcohol and gasoline for the automobile for the driver spells drinking and driving to us doesn't it?

Today, my neighbor came to me asking for help telling me that she is a diabetic and she needed to go to the Quick Shop to get a couple of candy bars. So I told my wife that I would be right back and I took her to the store. I asked her if I could take her to the Walgreen's and she said no please to the Quick Shop Gas Station. So what do you expect she bought? Of course the candy bars but also a case of beer which I was so upset about but I couldn't find it in my heart to let her know. Anyway the point is even I have a hard time in situations like this and believe me I thought to myself that I should tell her I do not allow alcohol in my car and I do not like to be lied to about things like this. If she only knew more about what happened to me with my car accident and how I feel about alcohol cigarettes and violence I know she would think twice about ever asking me to do this for her again. It sure would be easier for everyone if alcohol was not sold everywhere you go, but perhaps I am just dreaming because after all we are living in the United States of America which is not doing anything about it. Perhaps one day she will understand all of this and get off the alcohol soon.

When are our governments going to start doing something productive like preventative actions within our communities by looking at these basic things? Why in the world do these grocery stores, department stores and gas stations need the alcohol and cigarettes to make a profit? Is everyone so money hungry that our morals are all just shot down the drain? Do these stores think that they would lose too many customers by not selling these things?

We think it is time to put an end to this and speak up. We think it is time to open up the competition by developing stores which refuse to sell things that are clearly harmful to societies throughout the world. We are waiting for the day when we will find companies changing their policies concerning what is truly right for society.

Ask the companies you shop at to stop selling these harmful things and stand up to them and start shopping at the smaller stores who think about our society. They need our help and we are willing to pay a little more to accomplish these goals for the benefit of mankind and for the sake of God the All Mighty who sees and hears our cry for help.

We openly are asking Target as well as all the other stores and gas stations to consider changing their ways by removing both Alcohol and Cigarettes from their stores for the benefit of mankind!

We challenge everyone to be bold enough to really think ahead and do what is morally right for society and speak up now!

Isn't this the start of taking Social Responsibility? If you agree please help by joining our Say No and Go Society Now!
